ANTHONY'S REPORT: A Well related colt with a great pedigree. This colt is very strong and bred to get over ground. Would make the ideal derby horse.
Black Minnaloushe - Sire of the Dual Group One winner and Champion Juvenile of New Zealand 'Jokers Wild'. Jokers Wild career was cut short by injury but proved he was an outstanding race horse in winning two group one races as a 2 year before testing himself against the best as a 3 year narrowly being beaten by the Champion Miss Finland and our own Group One winner in Casino Prince.
Jazella is another stakeswinner produced by this under rated sire, who has won on both sides of the tasman most recently dead heating in the Listed Gold Coast Silk Stocking.
He has produced horses who can run at 2 years of age as proven by Jokers Wild but also horses that can race on at 3 and over ground. A very versatile stallion whose pregeny has shown that you don't need to spend millions to get a group one winner. Dont forget Black Minnaloushe himself was sired by the legendary stallion in 'Storm Cat' whose progeny have made there mark all over the world!
The dam of this colt 'Opal' was a winner herself over 1600m but more importantly is the direct descendant of Olga's Pal who was the champion filly of 1989 in New Zealand and won over 1000m right through to 2000m.
This colt is a well conformed thoroughbred with the pedigree to support his athleticism. The sky is the limit with this colt, and if he produces on the race track his value after racing could be anything. |
